ABOUT OUR COMPANY
Established 1997

Washington Federal Strategies, LLC was founded in 1997. The founders saw a need to develop a different sort of strategy consulting company in Washington. We want to integrate regulatory strategy with the business goals of our clients. We organized our firm to integrate thinking on how companies form, grow, and flourish, while taking advantage of the information resources and strategic tools that the seat of government has to offer. While the greatest volume of our work comes from companies and projects in regulated fields, we work with a broad range of companies, some of whom have no regulatory challenges at all.

We are driven by the desire to help your government work more effectively for your company. Most of the largest companies in the US have staff working here for them, why shouldn't your firm benefit from some of those same resources? Yet, for the smaller company, consulting dollars need to be especially productive, earning your firm revenues, bringing in new customers, or garnering licenses necessary to your success.

We hold ourselves to a high ethical standard, and we advise our clients of the benefits of operating in the same way. Our experience has shown us that in the long term, this saves time, money and builds reputation for our clients.

We are a firm of starters. We like to help those with ideas to get businesses started, we are not intimidated by the clean sheet, we are willing to help map a course of action that will lead to successes. Yet, we have the perseverance to see matters through to completion. Our team approach helps us to match detail orientation with visionary strategizing.

Finally, nothing matters as much as our customer base. The relationships we build are professional, but they are also personal. This is why we like to align our interests with those of our clients. One of our founders is often heard to say: "We want you (the client) to sell more of your products. The more you sell, the better for everyone. And, all we want to do is to help." Let us help you.

WFS's approach:

When WFS meets with a new client, we discuss the business of the client, and then we determine the goals of the client in seeking outside help. Before we accept an engagement, we try to ensure that our client's business goals will be advanced by the objectives set out for the consulting arrangement. Whether our client is trying to sell more devices or to position itself to gain more marketshare for its services, we want to work with our clients to accomplish their goals rather than expending energy and resources that are unproductive.

We work often with companies that operate in regulated industries. We help our clients take advantage of the opportunities offered by working in such an environment to get support from the US and state governments. Additionally, we help our clients to focus their efforts at building key alliances that strengthen their competitive position in their market niches.

The breadth of experience of our partners gives us the ability to look at business problems from many different angles. Our outside perspective lets us give a fresh look at the challenges of our clients.

How we work:

We bring rigorous thinking to the problems at hand - legal, business, public policy, and marketing considerations all play part of good strategic thinking about a business. Further, we bring strong research skills to every element of the projects we undertake. In today's data-rich environment, no one person or company can hope to know everything, yet we can help you to find some of the key information your company will need to make sound decisions. WFS offers our clients the wealth of experience that we have developed across those fields. Additionally we offer that experience in a way that allows our clients to make sound and informed decisions when they must choose among competing objectives.
